​The sauna is the most popular in Scandinavia, especially in Finland, as well as in the Baltic countries and Russia. Saunas have been built in these countries for hundreds of years and have been used not only as a kind of relaxing, relaxing and health treatments but, very importantly, they are part of the tradition and have a very important social function.

​It is hard to find a better way to integrate and improve mutual relations among friends, employees or an agreement in business than to take a sauna bath together. The Finnish sauna is characterized by a temperature of 85–100 ° C and a humidity of 10-15%. Most often, 10-15 minutes are spent in the sauna in 3-4 sessions interrupted by the necessary cooling of the body in the river or in the snow. In general, the higher the temperature in the sauna, the shorter the stay in the sauna and the longer the cooling down.

​It is this alternation of warming up and cooling down the body that has a key impact on the effects of using the sauna. The duration of individual sessions, the length of breaks and the number of cycles depend on the individual characteristics of the body and condition, which each bather takes at his own risk. The list of pro-health indications is long and there is no need to quote it, but regular sauna sessions have the best effect on the skin, improve blood circulation and remove muscle and joint pain. Sweating opens pores, smoothes and softens the skin, is an excellent form of beauty care, and also accelerates the burning of unnecessary calories.

​The Finnish sauna at the BAJDARKA Active Tourism Center is the subject of our pride due to its charming appearance, functionality, location and landscape values. It is built as a detached wooden building directly on the bank of the Narew River, and the sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove, filled with special stones. At the same time, 6-8 people can stay in our sauna. Inside the building there is also a changing room with benches and a table, where you can comfortably spend time between sessions. The sauna opens onto a small, covered terrace, which offers a beautiful view of the Narew valley, and takes the stairs straight to the river.
